Born 1983 in Mainz (Germany), lives in Berlin (Germany). He was raised in Sao Paulo (Brasil) and Mainz (Germany). After finishing high school, he attended university. Initially studying architecture, he changed focus and ultimately completed his Bachelor in Fine Arts in 2014 at the Berliner Technische Kunsthochschule and has since participated in several international shows. He has lived, travelled to and worked in South America, Europe, South East Asia, Western Africa and North America. Thomas Friedrich Schaefer had the opportunity to observe different social and familial environments within distinct communities. Since moving back to Germany, he has tried to assess his memories and his past within his images. He recently finished a long-term photographic project creating and documenting elaborately staged environments that play on the essence of fragmented childhood memories. The project required him to construct staged rooms using technical skills which he obtained early in his studies while studying architecture and engineering. Thomas continues to stage images in his studio in Berlin. His work includes hyper-realistic sets that provide the narrative framework to moments of interpersonal relationship. What seem like irrelevant and forgettable moments take on an importance and poignancy. 

He is the co-founder of Paleworks Studio which focuses on the variety of producing—in the areas of art, architecture, and design. His multidisciplinary approach creates a base for art direction, identity design, branding, photography, art installations, product, and fashion design. His education started with two bachelor degrees -in textile engineering and graphic design- and was followed up with the Master’s Degree Course in Media Art at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar—where he also worked as a lecturer. His practice gives a range of creative services—from digital, spatial, editorial design to branding & typography. He creates projects in cultural and commercial fields both based on aesthetics and functionality.

I am an independent Art Director born in Düsseldorf and based in Berlin since 16 years. I started working in advertising agencies and from there I build up my own business. Since 1 year I am working on my business “Angry Calamari” gathering my own clients and freelancing in agencies. This gives me the freedom to work remotely which satisfies me and gives me great international input.

Joa is the founder and owner of Studio Joa Herrenknecht - a design studio and consultancy based in Berlin. The studio works on accessory, lamp and furniture design objects. Clients include DWR, Bolia DK, Warm Nordic, MUNK Collective and others. Besides working on product design projects the studio also works on packaging and spacial design projects. The award winning Studio was founded by Joa Herrenknecht 2012 and has been named one of 50 best studios in Germany by AD Magazine and L'Officiel Paris. It is also published in the book 'Best of German Interior Design' by Distanz Verlag, 2017. Slowly establishing itself in the creative German design scene.

Claudia Klein, born in Freiburg, Germany, is a photographer who lives and works in Zurich and Berlin. She is known for her deeply personal and playful view of the human body. She has portrayed contemporary artists and actors, such as John Baldessari, David Hockney, Tomi  Ungerer, Roe Ethridge, Martin Eder, Ronald Zehrfeld, Ursina Lardi and Hannelore Hoger. Her images appear in various magazines, including Zeit Magazine, SZ-Magazin, L’officiel hommes,   Sleek and Monopol. She works for international clients among them Vitra, Volkswagen, ETH Zurich La Biosthéthique Paris and Stilwerk.
