She has a bachelor’s degree in urban planning and a master’s degree in public art. She has opened her own lecture series named Seeking Unseen at Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. She is the co-founder of Paleworks, a studio & brand focusing on the variety of producing—in the areas of art, architecture, and design. She established urbanbacklog, a blog based on visual impressions about the cities. Her profession ranges from writing to styling, product design to architectural photography.

Joa is the founder and owner of Studio Joa Herrenknecht - a design studio and consultancy based in Berlin. The studio works on accessory, lamp and furniture design objects. Clients include DWR, Bolia DK, Warm Nordic, MUNK Collective and others. Besides working on product design projects the studio also works on packaging and spacial design projects. The award winning Studio was founded by Joa Herrenknecht 2012 and has been named one of 50 best studios in Germany by AD Magazine and L'Officiel Paris. It is also published in the book 'Best of German Interior Design' by Distanz Verlag, 2017. Slowly establishing itself in the creative German design scene.

Designer and yoga teacher  

Robert Rieger is an editorial photographer based in Berlin. Rieger currently works as a art director at Freunde von Freunden, where among other projects, he is the photographer and photo editor for collaborations with MINI, Siemens, SONOS, 25h Hotels and USM. In his position at Freunde von Freunden, he liaises with international photographers on a daily basis and is responsible for the visual storytelling of the portraits produced.

Lamm & Kirch is a graphic design studio focusing on the creation of books, visual identitys, and exhibitions in the broad field of the cultural sector. We mostly do printed matter. Our approach is defined by continuous cooperations in shifting constellations. We like the old and the new, the obvious and the hidden. The studio functions as a research facility to explore various ways of visual language. Our idea of working is defined by working “with” instead of “for” somebody.
