Visual communicator

I'm a British animator and illustrator currently living and working in Hastings UK. Since graduating from the Royal College of Art in 2014, I have enjoyed much success with my films screening worldwide at festivals including official selection for SXSW, Tribeca, Annecy Festival, LIAF, MONSTRA, and Rooftop Films. Hastings is an inspiring and wonderful city to live in. I never know what I'm going to find there next...

Julie Verhoeven is an artist and designer based in London. After studying fashion she began her career assisting John Galliano before working in the fashion industry as a designer, illustrator, creative director and tutor. Verhoeven’s own fashion label, Gibo by Julie Verhoeven, was launched in September 2002, and she went on to collaborate with global brands including, Louis Vuitton, Versace, Mulberry and H&M. Verhoeven has exhibited internationally since 2003, including solo shows at MU, Eindhoven, ZINGERpresents, Amsterdam, and Vera Gliem, Cologne with the publication of 3 books dedicated to her work, 'A Bit of Rough’, 'Fat- Bottomed Girls’ and 'Julie Verhoeven, Gas Book 13’. Born close to the Atlantic ocean, now based in Marseille, France. I like to draw on skin or paper mainly bodies, faces, plants, statues and stones with hard lines and minimal shapes. I am a mountain town export, making stuff in Calgary. My favourite things to work on are illustrations, logos, and plenty of miscellaneous side projects just for kicks. When I'm not busy making things, I'm probably riding a bike, listening to baseball on the radio, or injuring myself trying to install an appliance.
