Impressive and beautiful monument. I enjoy staring at Alhambra's silhouette from different spots of the city. I love walking accross its gardens, with those tall and misterious trees. Inside Alhambra you can find the Palace of Carlos V, which I enjoy so much when they arrange expositions or classical music concerts in it during the summer.

It is an old neighbourhood from my hometown, with narrow white stone pavement streets and small squares and fountains. I love going for a walk around and just remain there. I always get lost in it and I love that...

A recently opened small independent library, just downtown. It deals with old books, theatre, art and stuff. I love coming there and talking to the owner, as she provides me with loads of old books from which I can get pictures for my collages. I can also find there many works by my favourite authors.

Big talented creator born in Granada in 1904. He experimented with different creative processes (films, sound, texts...). In my opinion, his activity and vanguardist trend haven't been acknowledged as they deserve. He is an inspiration drive and I admire him.

When I get into this venue, I travel back to the 40's-50's. It is a very elegant café, with several pianos and its walls are full of pictures of old celebrities and places. Its furniture also reminds me of past ages. It is one of my favourite places to have a cup of coffee and chat for a while.

The work of Amsterdam based visual artist Martijn Sandberg, constantly explores border areas, such as the tension between text and image, legibility and illegibility, the private and the public domain. “I make Image Messages, image is message is image.” The image hides the message. In the cut paintings „Sorry No Image Yet‟ and „Too Busy To Paint‟ there is a subtle play between the language of the image and the significance of the image, and this gives rise to questions. Here, the lack of image seems to be elevated to an image by the artist. The direct relationship between the image, the material bearing the image and the environment is also expressed in his site-specific works in public space and architecture. As in „If These Walls Could Speak‟ that can be viewed in the lifts at the OBA Public Library Amsterdam, and the artwork „I Will Survive' located at the border of a burial ground in Hardenberg, The Netherlands. In 2010 „My Last Penny‟ by Martijn Sandberg is released as jaarpenning/ art medal 2010, issued by the Vereniging voor Penningkunst/ Dutch Art Medal Society in a multiple edition of 450 pieces.
