Louisa is the founder of Luminous Books in East London, an artist curated bookshop specializing in second hand fiction, philosophy, art and curiosities. Luminous also stocks a range of artists’ books, limited run zines and hosts regular literary events, combining music, films and readings alongside pop up projects throughout the city and two Luminous collections at the ICA Bookshop SW1 and Andor Bureau E8. Louisa studied Fine Art Sculpture at Brighton University before moving to London working in both new and antiquarian bookshops including Foyles and as Book Buyer for the ICA Bookshop. Luminous is a specialized bookshop full of personal preoccupations, a love of the object of the book, printed matter and of visual thinking.

Karabo Mooki is a Johannesburg based photographer & filmmaker born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa. His work follows unique narratives and authentic emotions in nature, with a focus on distinctive casting and under-represented faces. Karabo Mooki is an internationally recognised talent and has won multiple industry awards for his photojournalism. With a focus on highlighting perceived differences, Karabo’s work shows an authentic and honest side to life in South Africa which explores race, gender, sexuality and class. With his photographs in high demand as fine art prints, Karabo’s work has been exhibited at prestigious galleries such as Art Basel in Miami and worldwide from New York, Sweden, Denmark, Cape Town, London, New Zealand and Berlin. Featured in publications such as Rolling Stone Magazine and Huck, Karabo Mooki is a voice of an unapologetic generation.

Caspar Lam is a partner at Synoptic Office, a multidisciplinary design studio operating in the space between design, technology and education. The studio’s work has been exhibited internationally and recognized by Fast Company Design, iDn, Neshan, Etapes, and It’s Nice That.
