One of my favourite things to do on my travels is finding a good bookshop. Ler Devagar (meaning ' read slowly' in English) did not disappoint. Built inside an old printing factory you can find this bookshop in the trendy LX factory in Alcântara. Books fill the walls from floor to ceiling and in the middle of the shop is a large flying bicycle. Need I say more.

You can't go to Lisbon and not try pastel de nata and this was probably the best place we found to get your mitts on the delicious egg pastries. Grab a couple with a cup of coffee. Happy days.

great Portuguese natural wines and local produce

A small letterpress shop/studio in the Bairro Alto district. Great place to pick up a souvenir for your type-geek, designer friends.

There are not many full of green parks in lisbon, this is a quiet botanical garden that i usually go to read a book and be around dark green plants.
