About Kristy
I’m an Interiors and Still Life Photographer, based in London. Kristy was raised in 14 houses over the 18 years she grew up in North Yorkshire. It may be this steady flow of homes, and way of living, that led to her curiosity to shape the everyday. Her love of photography was cemented in the Autumn of 2005 while spending six months at university in Springfield, Missouri, developing her calm, clean and focussed style while photographing with her Mamiya C330. She draws influence from American and European Modernist architecture, along with suburban imagery from the 1950’s onwards, creating surreal and playful imagery hinged on her desire to form intrigue, through line, form and arrangement.

It's really close to my house and one of my favourite pubs in London! (I even went before it was close to where I lived!) It is London's first cooperatively owned pubs and has lovely events and workshops, exercise classes and great parties, and good beer! It's lovely in the beer garden in the hot summer and equally great in the winter, next to a real fire.

Elizabeth Gabrielle Lee is an artist, researcher and writer. Her practice is guided by the iterations of slow violence and the dynamic between the ‘near’ and ‘elsewhere’. In attempting to disarm instruments of knowledge production, her practice shies away from reduction and completion. Steering away from essentialisms, she is interested in once-forgotten micro and muted narratives. By revisioning fractured traditions, she engages with visual and textual interventions to navigate the nuances of perception and retention. Lee also runs XING, a research platform centered on the poetics and politics of Southeast and East Asian art practices. Assuming form of a shapeshifter, it morphs between localities and temporalities; with(in)flux. A domain of not-yet possibilities, the platform attempts to dismantle matrices concerned with the region from non-dominant perspectives.
