Mr Kitly is a shop and gallery specialising in ceramics, books, plants and textiles. Much of the stock is from Japan, and everything makes you want to weep because it's so charming and pretty. The hanging plants are amazingly affordable too.

Gertrude Street is in the inner northern suburb of Fitzroy, Melbourne. In just one strip, you'll find bars, restaurants, galleries, boutiques, vintage wares, costume hire and old-school pubs. It's an inspiring, quiet and interesting experience just out of the city centre. Overall a great place to spend the day.

The Everleigh is a sumptuous bar hidden above a busy shopping street. A perfect place to share a leather booth with friends, while drinking gin cocktails from old-fashioned crystal glasses.

I really enjoy the dumplings here and hanging out with my friends. We have given the nickname 'Vagina palace' due to their choice of painting the walls pink.

The Chapel Street Bazaar is a vintage wonderland. Over 70 stalls densely packed with finely selected vintage treasures. Full of everything you really want and nothing you really need. It’s a great place to take a stroll back through time and for gathering inspiration.
