I love stopping by the Skyline after a hike through Forest Park. They have an amazing view, a brick BBQ pit, horse shoes, ping pong, and a REAL jukebox.

The best sushi and the cheapest, which normally doesn’t make sense, but it really is. It’s a train too so it’s easy to grab a seat and eat whatever you like for as long as you like. Classic 80’s hits help wash it all down. Probably my most frequented restaurant in Portland.

A beautiful luncheonette situated in the heart of Portland, Måurice is a haven in the city. Blending French & Nordic cuisines, you can't help but slow down, breathe in, and enjoy the finer things in life. You'll find fresh flowers on every table, one of the many touches that make this place special. It has become my favourite place to dine in Portland, and quite possibly the world. Recommendations: the daily quiche, a glass of rosé, and a currant + rosemary scone.

Behind the Museum Cafe is a Japanese cafe, very bright and open with charming design. It is usually pretty quiet, and they have a great menu with onigiri, Japanese tea cakes, matcha and hojicha lattes, teas, mochi, etc. The space is also a shop, they have ceramics, kimono, cards and other small items. It is next door to Canoe, a favorite design shop.

Cool gallery and store on Burnside. They keep a pretty consistent calender of events, always worth checking out. Some purchases include a mix tape CD of fine taste.
