The MCA is situated just in front of the water, with views of the Sydney Opera house and right next to the Harbour bridge. With 3 floors of contemporary art, starting with more emerging artists on the first floor, going up to it's permannent collection on the second and then usually a mindblowing solo show from an established artist or group show. You can finish your visit with a lovely meal and drinks on the fourth floor, which offers some of the best views of Sydney. Pictured here is a photograph taken from Tatsuo Miyajmi's exhibition and his artwork Mega Death.
Japanese bookshop in the centre of of town. Amazing selection of art books, including a nice selection of independent publications. Lots of fun Japanese magazines, book and stationary. Excellent coffee shop inside too :)
I love the effortless elegance of Alistair Trung's trans-seasonal, trans-occasional, trans-age, trans-size and trans-gender pieces. And his stores are always artistically presented and inspiring to be in, with bits of collected wood, bones, feathers and other found natural beauties
Underground food court in China Town with cheap eats and a mirror ceiling! It's in no way fancy, but incredibly charming. With about 12 different restaurants and a bar, its one of the best places in China town to get a meal.
