Between colony gardens in Amager lies one of my favourite local spots: Baghaven. Good food and cosiness is in the forefront. Various events with and without music gather people on the square at Diamantgangen 75. A very local experience. Great for families, children, young and old.

As the name implies, the Paper Island was home to a large paper warehouse for the newspaper production. Today, the island has been transformed into modern buildings, designed by the Danish architectural firm Cobe and the spectacular water culture house and harbor bath are designed by the Japanese architect Kengo Kuma  Photo: © Ture Andersen

Dronning Louises Bro (Queen Louise's Bridge) is a bridge in central Copenhagen, between Nørrebro and central Copenhagen. A good spot for a beer in the summertime.

As, mentioned before, I'm a big fan of summer and the short distance to the water for a swim. Islands Brygge is situated only 5 minutes away from my studio. I often go for a dip while working. Popular amongst all the people in Copenhagen and many people barbecue and have beers during the evening there.

A contemporary art exhibition space located right next to Østerport station, they have a nice little visual arts bookshop as well.
