A cracking wee bookshop. They have an excellent range of arts magazines, journals, books and zines.

One of the larger contemporary art galleries in the city, The Fruitmarket puts on some big shows. It also has a fine variety of magazines and books in its shop. Particularly impressive is their use of whiskey as drink of choice for exhibition openings. Above the gallery is Waverley Bridge, Edinburgh’s most popular suicide spot.

Tucked away in the corner of the park is this little gem. It is one of only a handful in the city. Very few people come here. It is however frequented by Superclub members.

There has been an increasing number of small galleries and artist-run spaces emerging in Edinburgh recently. Superclub is one that definitely stands out. It's housed in an old garage/tyre depot that has been converted into a gallery upstairs and studio spaces down below. They put on exhibitions, bands, films and all sorts of other fun stuff. It’s a really exciting place. My studio is here.
