He runs a design practice named Practise together with partner Shan James, working on books, websites, exhibitions, typefaces, videos, textiles, posters, magazines, identity systems, signs, and symbols in Europe, Asia, Australasia, and North America. James is a Thesis Critic at Rhode Island School of Design, writes now and then, and lectures here and there.
