Ever since I was a little girl, I wanted to become an illustrator. The first time my parents asked what I wanted to be when I grew up I said; 'tekenares' (this is the Dutch word for a draughtswoman). I wasn't familiar with the term illustrator yet, but I was sure that's what I wanted to be. Now, twenty years later, I'm working as a freelance illustrator based in Amsterdam. I've been living here for over 5 years, and I'm still in love with the city.
