Antidisciplinary artist and designer working from the bowels of Somerset House.

Nicole Chui is a freelance embroidery artist and designer based in Hackney. Her embroidery art is described as messy, brash, and disruptive. She has worked with the likes of Converse, Nike, Gal-dem and Parlophone. In 2019, she was named one of the future faces under 25 by the Evening Standard. 

Nigel Howlett lives and works in London. He has developed a graphite cartoony style of drawing which references early Disney movies and painters such as the American artist Peter Saul. Howlett depicts hairy characters, acting out scenarios that reflect familiar social anxieties and conditions. Always humorous and sometimes sinister, common themes in the work include our obsession with technology and our relationship with social media. Nigel also runs a set design practice working with clients which include the BBC, channel 4, Issey Miyake and Nike. In 2015 he co-founded Nan Studios, a Photographic and creative studio in Clapton East London.

I was born in the mid 1980's and grow up in London. From always having a fascination with mechanical objects and relentlessly playing with lego as a child becoming a still life photographer seemed like a natural progression. There is something enormously rewarding about creating exactly whats in your head. I try and make my images on first glance look completely perfect but on closer inspection its revealed there are many imperfections, if you look closer at the 'Wrapping Paper Series' you can see all the joins and creases. I think this makes it look and feel like a photograph and not CGI.
