Carla Andrade is a Spanish Visual Artist with a Degree in Audio-visual Studies and Philosophy. She is currently studying a M.A. in Artist’s Film & Moving Image at Goldsmiths University in London. She carried out Artist Residencies in Iceland, Sweden, Nepal, Chile, and Paris, among others. Her work was exhibited at the MAC in A Coruña, Colegio de España in Paris, Trinta Gallery in Santiago de Compostela, Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, MARCO of Vigo, 104 in Paris, etc; and at Film and Photography Festivals such as IFFR, Zinebi, Jihlava, Filmadrid, L’Alternativa, Curtocircuito, Porto/Post/Doc, PhotoEspaña or Mois de la Photo off.

Monteferro is a mountain from my hometown and one of my favourites places in the world. It is surronded by the sea and the view from the top is startling. This mountain is supposed to be full of iron inside and maybe because of this it has a special energy that produces a big atraction.

Lynnie’s style is a distinctive one, where a bold bright colour palate is used to great effect in the playful charismatic characters she creates. The development of these characters is the driving force of her work; producing mysterious, seductive creatures and powerful femme fatales. Women are mostly the subject of her pieces which she brings to life using ink, paint and paint pens. By working spontaneously the personalities evolve naturally into striking and engaging images which both shock and amuse, but always stimulate the eye.

I was born in the mid 1980's and grow up in London. From always having a fascination with mechanical objects and relentlessly playing with lego as a child becoming a still life photographer seemed like a natural progression. There is something enormously rewarding about creating exactly whats in your head. I try and make my images on first glance look completely perfect but on closer inspection its revealed there are many imperfections, if you look closer at the 'Wrapping Paper Series' you can see all the joins and creases. I think this makes it look and feel like a photograph and not CGI.
