I am an actress and musician raised & based in North west London. I have studied dance at City of Westminster college and performed at the Cockpit Theatre and acting at the Actor Centre, RADA and IDSA. Old townhouse style building set in front of juxtaposing high risers makes for an odd placement, but internally it's a quirky spectacle. One half is dedicated to the sale of antiques - anything from old door handles to hallways lined with hunting trophies. The other half is a relaxed bar and hidden gourmet dining area constructed of similar furnishings [all for sale too]. Even if you don't wish to spend £'s, a walk around the place is advised.

Beautiful museum with permanent collections on anthropology, natural history and musical instruments. Surrounded by a park with farm animals and beautiful views of London skyline.

In between soho and covent garden. There ares lots of great independent shops on this street. Dover bookshop, magma, super superficial and Mint to name a few. Also if you want a cheap lunch on your work break Cafe No.1 is amazing. £2.50 jacket potatoes with cheese and beans.

Signature cocktails like "concrete", with actual chalk on it, food is good and the places has a small backyard garden. Recommend to try the food, as they are small tasty plates.

Behind Markfield Beam Engine is the River Lee which travels from the Chiltern Hills all the way to the Thames via Tottenham Hale. There is a special light along this stretch of the river possibly due to there being about 10 massive reservoirs behind the levee on the other side of the river, offering an amazing sense of space. A great place to walk, cycle and feed the ducks, swans, geese and coots.
