Founded on the 1st June 2016 by us, the Emergenze artists, this unique, state of the art bookshop took form on the remains of a historical newsstand in the heart of Perugia. Our line-up comes with a unique choice of independent magazines, artists' books, anarchic papers, fanzines and self produced books branded Emergenze Publishing, our very own publishing house – an eclectic range that can’t be found anywhere else in Italy

Julie Verhoeven is an artist and designer based in London. After studying fashion she began her career assisting John Galliano before working in the fashion industry as a designer, illustrator, creative director and tutor. Verhoeven’s own fashion label, Gibo by Julie Verhoeven, was launched in September 2002, and she went on to collaborate with global brands including, Louis Vuitton, Versace, Mulberry and H&M. Verhoeven has exhibited internationally since 2003, including solo shows at MU, Eindhoven, ZINGERpresents, Amsterdam, and Vera Gliem, Cologne with the publication of 3 books dedicated to her work, 'A Bit of Rough’, 'Fat- Bottomed Girls’ and 'Julie Verhoeven, Gas Book 13’. Elisa is a Milan-born fashion/design writer, digital content creator and Editor In Chief/co-founder of Sali e Tabacchi Journal. She moved to London in September 2014 for a foundation year at Condè Nast College of Fashion and Design. Since then, she has interned at J.J. Martin's LaDoubleJ.com, Nowness, British Vogue and Wallpaper* Magazine, has been published by British Vogue and Wallpaper* Magazine and contributes to Corriere Della Sera's Design Magazine, Living. She has now graduated Fashion Journalism at London College of Fashion and collaborating with creatives across different countries.

Valeria is a photographer from Sardinia (Italy), graduated in Industrial Design currently attending her MA in Fashion Photography at London College of Fashion. She lived for four years in Rome and loved it, five months in Edinburgh and disliked it, since May in London and in love with the city. She is constantly inspired by her surroundings, lights, new places, dreams, people, her homeland, her past and present. She loves more aesthetic than conceptual, female body and analogue cameras. Fashion Photography is her way to sum up all these beautiful things.
