Sans Pere is my new favourite place to have breakfast, café or lunch. In the heart of Shoreditch it really feels like a modern home. Their quiches are delicious and they have an in-house patisserie kitchen and let me tell you their cute bite-size choux and bronuts (brioche-donuts) are worth the detour.

London / Gallery

The Hayward Gallery in Southbank center has held my favourite exhibitions in London and each time they are extremely well curated. Definitely a place to visit !

Montreal / Cafe

Caffè Italia is an institution in town and was the first Italian café to open in Montréal in 1956. The decor probably hasn't changed much since then. Definitely one of my top favourite places in Montreal. Their panini is worth the detour - I have rarely had such a great one, probably the best in town, if not of the whole province !

Recently discovered Tri's restaurant in this lovely lively place near Laurier metro station. Tri Express is the place for delicious - and affordable - refined sushi and chef's specialities. The decor is great too ! Born in a working-class family in Sao Paulo, Brazil. In 2003, Jorge Camarotti moved to Montreal, where he pursued a career as a professional photographer and then as filmmaker. Since his beginnings in filmmaking 10 years ago, Jorge has directed more than a dozen short films, both documentary and fiction, always remaining true to giving voice to the most aggrieved individuals of our society. Jorge wrote and directed Kinship (2019), which was selected in many reputable film festivals such as Palm Springs International, Maryland, Clermont-Ferrand, and Regard which received a nomination at the 2020 Canadian Screen Awards for Best Live-Action. His most recent project Ousmane had its world premiere at TIFF 2021 followed by an international premiere at the prestigious Clermont-Ferrand festival in 2022, and earned the director a second nomination for Best Live-Action at the Canadian Screen Awards 2022. Ousmane has accumulated more than 50 official selections in film festivals around the world, receiving more than 10 awards, including Best Narrative short at Aspen International Film Festival and a Grand-Prize at Indy Shorts, both Academy Awards qualifying festivals. Besides working as a mentor for aspiring BIPOC filmmakers, Jorge is now working on his first feature film, Edith. Edith was selected at the highly regarded TIFF Labs for development in 2021.

A Montreal based fashion designer and professor at University of Quebec in Montreal, former head of Fashion, jewellery and accessories design Programme at HEAD-Genève, Ying Gao has achieved personal distinction through her numerous creative projects: six solo exhibitions in France, in Switzerland, in Canada, and more than one hundred group exhibitions around the world. Her varied creative work has enjoyed international media coverage: Time, Vogue, The New York Times, Dazed and Confused, Interni, ARTE. She is one of the “Fab 40: Canada” selected by Wallpaper magazine.
