Jos Buivenga can be passionate about a lot of things. He loves to paint, listen to music, brew an almost perfect espresso… but nothing challenges and rewards him more than designing type. If ever he was stranded on a desert island he would still draw alphabets in the sand, even if there was no one else to see them. He is the founder of exljbris, the one-man Dutch font foundry through which he releases and offers his typefaces. For 15 years, his online friends and fans could follow the development of his typefaces and download the results at no cost. In 2008, while still working as an art director at an advertising agency, he released his first commercial typeface Museo with several weights offered for free. That strategy paid off and Museo became a huge bestseller. Partly thanks to that success he now calls himself a full time type designer. All photos by Jos van Roij

Near Neede - in Borculo- there is this former oil mill dating back from 1375. One of my favorite restaurants nearby.

Northwest of Neede you can find the remains of a swimming pool which is now part of a nature area. The diving board serves as a viewing point.

North of Neede lies a beautiful, gently sloping landscape shaped 150.000 years ago by an ice age. Great place to cycle or walk.

Danielle Yu is a Los Angeles based artist & model from San Francisco. She is the Co-Founder and designer for The Gilded Fox and has a BFA from Otis College of Art and Design. Notable clients include Skechers, Nike, PacSun, Apple, MAC cosmetics, and Macys. Danielle was also a trophy presenter for the 78th Academy Awards. As an artist, Danielle's inspirations come from travel, art, and music. Botany and architecture are some of her biggest influences. She illustrates and paints mostly in graphite, ink, and gouache. Her work has been featured in LEICA S Magazine, Galore mag, Buzzfeed, and Ellements magazine. Collaborations include Diptyque Beverly Hills, NARS, Celebrity Cruises and PaliHouse.

Jennica Atkinson is a multidisciplinary creative, living and working in California. With an education background in graphic design and photography, Jennica’s practice has led her to work professionally as a designer, art director, and photographer for the past 8 years. Hector is a fashion photographer originally from Spain. He studied at Escola Massanna in Barcelona and assisted photographers Cesar Lucadamo, Txema Yeste, Enrique Badulescu, and Stephan Ach among others before beginning his career in photography. Clients include ZARA, Massimo Dutti, GQ, ELLE, Leica, Intermix, Carl F. Bucherer, The Last Magazine. VS, Loewe, and most recently, the United Nations. Hector is also the Co-Owner of BOON showroom in Paris. Danielle is a model and designer from Los Angeles. She studied fashion design and has a BFA from Otis College of Art and Design. She is the Co-Founder and designer for The Gilded Fox, a vintage inspired jewelry company. Her work has been featured in Galore mag, Buzzfeed, and Ellements magazine. Collaborations include Diptyque Beverly Hills, NARS. and PaliHouse. Hector and Danielle currently live in Los Angeles and New York.
