Hannekes Boom is one of the nicest waterfront café in Amsterdam to have a beer when it's sunny. Close to Central Station, the place isn't crowded by tourists, but you need to be there early to get a seat.
The NewWerktheater is a café-restaurant venue located in Oostelijke Eilanden. Everything has been carefully selected/designed/created by ...,staat, the design studio behind the concept. The coffee beans are from Bonanza Berlin, the beer is made by Noam, and can only be found here in the Netherlands and the artworks are made by designer/artist Eike König. The location also regularly host creative events like the Dutch Art Director Club conferences, photography exhibitions or Creative Mornings.
Paris-based artist Cassandre Montoriol’s traditional gouache drawings are the toast of the fashion publishing world. Her expressive, hand-drawn aesthetic is reminiscent of travel diaries, fashion illustration and textile design, which is perhaps why her feminine style is so often commissioned within the glossy pages of high-end fashion magazines. Recently Cassandre has been illustrating leafy city scenes and the interiors of shops from tiny, cluttered bookstores to towering, gleaming malls. “I make colourful and figurative work, Cassandre says. “Interior scenes, nature, landscape and people.” bio @Agent Pekka photo @Jean-marc Pau
Hi, my name is Morgane Vantorre and I am in love with letters in every shape and form. Passionate about the materiality of our written language and what its forms convey beyond its meaning, I am a French freelance multitasker whose Type Design is at the heart of everything I do.
⁂
I would define myself first as a type designer working for foundries, agencies or for myself. From conception, to development to completion, I enjoy creating and producing typefaces or lettering, but I also offer art direction, editing and graphic design services.
I am also a recent editor for Monotype, for whom I write articles on French typography and graphic design news, and a typography teacher in a Parisian art school where I transmit my passion to young bachelor students.
Then, I like to experiment, during my free time, with letterforms through different techniques and materials such as calligraphy, stone carving and embroidery.
I was born in Moscow, Russia, but was always fascinated with traveling and meeting new cultures. After several years in Vienna, Austria, I decided to move to Paris, France, and study professional photography.
Before making this choice I started career in history of art.
These days I work on different long-term projects, mostly concentrated on fine-art and documentary photography.
Camera helps me to observe the world around and to keep in time people, beauty and happy moments.
