The National Sanctuary of our Sorrowful Mother is a 62-acre Catholic shrine and botanical garden. The upper level has an amazing space-age meditation chapel providing awesome views of the Columbia River and Mt. St. Helens. It's made of polished granite and glass walls.

A beautiful luncheonette situated in the heart of Portland, Måurice is a haven in the city. Blending French & Nordic cuisines, you can't help but slow down, breathe in, and enjoy the finer things in life. You'll find fresh flowers on every table, one of the many touches that make this place special. It has become my favourite place to dine in Portland, and quite possibly the world. Recommendations: the daily quiche, a glass of rosé, and a currant + rosemary scone.

Cool gallery and store on Burnside. They keep a pretty consistent calender of events, always worth checking out. Some purchases include a mix tape CD of fine taste.

The Fraternal Order of the Eagles opens their doors for all types of community events. My favorites are the monthly Twilight Rummage Sale and twice-yearly Night Owl Record show. They also have Friday night karaoke, Sunday morning Bingo brunch and you can rent the place out pretty cheap for rock shows.

Located in the best little strip mall in Portland. Tiga has great drinks, music, and food for you to enjoy. Then wander 2 doors down to Beacon Sound and flip through a well-curated collection of vinyl records.
