Dan is a graphic designer and illustrator based in the Philippines. He is a founding partner at Plus63 Design Co. and the Hydra Design Group. Dan is represented by illustration agencies Agent Pekka and Vision Track. Manila / Restaurant

Toyo is one of my favorite restaurants in Manila. The shop is in the same compound as my studio, so I always bring my visiting friends here for dinner. The ambience is nice and the food is really really good. It's Filipino food in its essence, but done very differently.

Manila / Art

A dedicated space in Manila for contemporary art galleries, institutions, shops, restaurants, cafes and a design studio, along a wide, shaded garden hallway, The Alley is a quiet and relaxed place where you can sit outside from afternoon to evening over coffee and wine, catch a show, put up a show, meet a friend.

Rikuzentakata / Hotel

It's rare for tourists to go to the Tohoku (Northeast) Region of Japan except for Sendai (the capital). I've been there a couple of times for a design residency. It's good to use Rikuzentakata as the base. I highly recommend Hakoneyama Terrace. It has a nice view, they serve good food and the accommodation is good.

Tokyo / Cafe

This is my favorite go-to coffee shop in Tokyo. It's in a quiet and quaint space. I recommend trying their coffee and muffins. It's also right across a park and playground.

Frankfurt / Illustrator

Tatjana Prenzel is an illustrator based in Frankfurt, Germany. Her work reflects her sense of reading between the lines characterized by her use of hand made textures and a wide range of colors.

Marseille / Illustrator

Born close to the Atlantic ocean, now based in Marseille, France. I like to draw on skin or paper mainly bodies, faces, plants, statues and stones with hard lines and minimal shapes. Lucas Levitan is an illustrator today, filmmaker last week, photographer last month and art director last year. A new cycle might start again soon. A few years ago, whilst lunch break walking on Redchurch Street in East London, a brick fell from the 4th floor scaffolding of a building site and missed his head by millimeters. It made him think he should be doing more or what he loves, drawing. It was a turning point. That same moment he went back to the office he used to work for and resigned. Now he's lost and happier.
