I am a clay illustrator. Like most of us, I started playing around with clay at a very young age. Unlike most of us, I continued my practice right through my childhood and into adulthood. Nowadays I view my lumps of clay with the same wide-eyed, open-ended imagination that I did as a child, but now I take it to a level of refinement and expression, achievable only through thousands of hours of practice and a true love for my art. And now I hardly ever eat the clay.

Pieter Boels is a graphic artist looking for meaning in the shapes of language and the language of shapes. His work is an amalgam of graphic design, illustrative hand lettering and calligraphy, with a strong aesthetic sensibility. Working with both analog and digital tools, he's always striving to create something that resonates with people, and to make them do a double take. Since 2012 Pieter runs a one-man studio in Antwerp, Belgium. The projects he engages in range from large and commercial to tiny and artistic (or the other way round) for local and international collaborators, and himself. Together with his partner, Pieter curates a small space for art & design called Rosewood.

James Windsor is a London-based, freelance graphic designer with 7 years’ industry experience. Roberto Calbucci is a painter and freelance graphic designer. After living in Milan and Tokyo, Roberto and his wife Meloni Mitchell (model/designer) decided to set up base for a while in the Italian countryside in a tiny village called Montecarotto, to concentrate on their projects.
