Tel Aviv-Yafo / Cafe

An eclectic café located in the heart of Tel Aviv, Sheleg is the perfect place to brunch. While it may be hard to choose a place amongst the many wonderful cafés in Tel Aviv, Sheleg offers a classic and simply delicious Mediterranean menu. Filled with antique souvenirs, you feel like you are stepping back in time. Recommendations: black coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice, "bread break", and toast with raw tehina + date honey.

Portland / Restaurant

A beautiful luncheonette situated in the heart of Portland, Måurice is a haven in the city. Blending French & Nordic cuisines, you can't help but slow down, breathe in, and enjoy the finer things in life. You'll find fresh flowers on every table, one of the many touches that make this place special. It has become my favourite place to dine in Portland, and quite possibly the world. Recommendations: the daily quiche, a glass of rosé, and a currant + rosemary scone.

Florence / Bookstore

Florence may be beautiful, but with the amount of tourists it can get quite overwhelming. Todo Modo is a wonderful escape located near the centre that provides a space to sit, sip, read, and reflect. A quaint bookstore in the front, with a bar/café in the back, Todo Modo is one of my favourites in Florence. The hanging plants, the smell of books, the wood covered interior, all provide a cosy nook to sink into. Recommendations: a glass of chianti classico + a pen and journal.

Barcelona / Restaurant

Searching for a place to slow down and breathe in the bustling centre of Barcelona may be challenging, but Bar Cugat provides a solution: a timeless bar situated in Eixample, with an elegant yet low-key atmosphere. While originally stopping in for a quick coffee, we found ourselves returning an hour later for a wonderful dinner. The clean yet eclectic interior (with an Art Nouveau poster to boot) is a great place to dine, any day of the week. Recommendations: classic tapas + vermut.

Tokyo / Graphic Designer

Graphic Designer. Take her visual language as an axis, she is dealing with branding, signage planning for architecture, editorial design etc. In parallel with that, she is constantly releasing a project called HUMAN NATURE which questioning the way of symbiotic relationship between human and nature.

Tokyo / Writer

Xiao Yue Shan is a poet, writer, editor, and translator. The collection, then telling be the antidote, won the Tupelo Press Berkshire Prize and is forthcoming in 2023. The chapbook, How Often I Have Chosen Love, won the Frontier Poetry Chapbook Prize and was published in 2019. She has received the New Millennium Award for Poetry and the Juxtaprose Poetry Prize, and has been shortlisted for the Aesthetica Creative Writing Award, the Artlyst Art to Poetry Award, and the Ambit Poetry Competition. Poems have appeared in The Poetry Review, Kenyon Review, Poetry Magazine, Asian American Writers’ Workshop, Poetry Northwest, and more. Prose works have appeared in Granta, 3:AM Magazine, Electric Literature, Cleveland Review of Books, The Shanghai Literary Review, and more. Poem-films have shown in festivals in London, Vienna, New York City, and Athens. Her work has been supported by the Canadian Council for the Arts, BC Arts Council, and Arts Council Tokyo. Saori Ichikawa is 26 years old, lives in Japan as a textile designer. She studied textile design in Tokyo and Stockholm. She has been designing woven and tufted rugs. She is currently a Textile designer at FIBER ART STUDIO in Tokyo, Japan.

Takahiro Kimura is a Japanese animator, illustrator and character designer based in Tokyo. Takahiro studied technology of painting and graphic design at Salesian Polytechnic, as well as drawing, landscape painting and fashion drawing at Setsu Mode Seminar. In 2003 Takahiro created a group of web and television collage animation characters collectively called Kimsnake.
