Stratford / Cafe

One of my favourite places to get coffee in downtown Stratford. Great coffee and treats made in house as well as lunch options to sit in or take out. The chocolate chip and sea salt cookie is a staple for our son Tomo.

Stratford / Cafe

A go to coffee spot for our family. They specialize in espresso based drinks and baked goods which are made on site. On Saturdays they offer two varieties of homemade doughnuts which are not to be missed. Make sure you get there early. They usually sell out pretty fast.

Stratford / Food Store

This is a great spot for groceries as well as frozen prepared foods and take out. All of the baked goods are made in house and they offer a number of lunch options through their bowl and smoothie bar. This place is great because they strive to be a zero waste one-stop shop that really cares about their impact on the environment. There’s a great selection of local products and produce as well including many bulk items including dry foods, cleaning and household supplies.

Stratford / Restaurant

Hands down one of the best restaurants in Stratford. AO is a casual spot specializing in made to order pasta using noodles which they make on site. They have a revolving menu which changes seasonally, but offer some staples like their Bucatini all'amatriciana and arancini.

My work is an ongoing exploration across media, ranges from performance, drawing, painting, and photography. In my artistic practice, I contemplate about the role of materials, various media, the body, and performative elements in the process of mark making gestures. I am interested in expressing ideas about how the notion of identity, displacement, and memory are held in the body. I develop performative methods that break down boundaries between various disciplines. Through Inter-media performative practice, I incorporate the body as a material, object, and subject. I utilize the camera as a tool to capture and record my studio and staged performances, as well as activating time, space and light with body movement.  I'm interested in the complexity of performative documentation, and the potential of both traditional and new advanced media in these representations.

Cristian's work is a dialogue between photography, graphic design, and printed matter. Born in Santiago in 1976, based in Toronto, Canada. His latest limited edition, self-published book "Other Voices" was recently selected to be exhibited at the Benaki Museum, in Greece, as part of the Athens Photo Festival 2019. His first book “A Way to Disconnect and Connect” was published by Daga Editions in 2017. Cristian's work has been shown in exhibitions and publications internationally. He was recently invited to direct a PhotoBook workshop at VU Photo, in Québec City (Canada), and write an essay about Sergio Larrain’s photographic work for the book 100x100 curated by Patricio Pozo (Chile). Currently, Cristian splits his time working independently on personal art projects, graphic design, and photographic assignments. Since 2016, he has collaborated as Art Director for the architecture publication Azure Magazine and teaches in the Faculty of Design at OCAD University in Toronto.

Jen Mann is a Canadian artist living just outside of Toronto. She attended OCAD U from 2005-2009, receiving her BFA in printmaking. Since then she has focused on painting and developed a large body of work, which explores the subconscious, and focuses on ideas of freedom, perceived beauty, identity and home. Jen loves to garden, cook and watch movies in her free time.
