I struggle with eating out in Vancouver, generally I prefer the burrito style places like Bandidas Taqueria on Commercial drive or Budgies Burritos on Kingsway, because they can keep it mellow and hassle free. Pronto is a new one, it has a great Italian coffee bar from the 60’s vibe.

Fupper is Simon Hughes, a musician from London currently living in Vancouver, BC, Canada. The latest Fupper release is “Foreign Bodies”; it is his 18th album in 20 years. The music sounds like an electronic Moondog with luscious guitars, harmonized vocals, spoken word, lyrics of streaming consciousness, found sounds and field recordings. “I have given a list of some of my favorite Vancouver haunts. Besides these, drink in the nature and get wet.”

Straight underneath the bridge lies this charming little island that houses some of my favourite restaurants, such as the Sandbar and the yellow Bridges. Among all the things here you can also find a theatre, a brewery, a public food market and of course the Emily Carr university.

After years of shaving my own head I found these guys and they did a haircut in 10 minutes without an awkward conversation, and it was the hair cut I always wanted but didn't know how to ask for it. Good music playing as well, sometimes.

This quaint, cottage-cozy cafe is the perfect place to go with your bestie for a cup of coffee and tasty treats. I highly recommend their fresh baguette sandwiches-the pear one (with blue brie, prosciutto & roasted walnuts) is my favourite!

Catalog Gallery consistently exhibits amazing art spanning genre and style. It’s one of my favourite galleries in the city, and always has a surprise in store. You can’t find the kind of work it presents anywhere else in Vancouver.

This nice little New Orleans inspired bistro serves all things creole and cajun. Cool drinks and hot food, accompanied by authentic live Louisiana Jazz, makes this the perfect spot for a dinner out. For something with a bite to it I can recommend the mussels Lafayette.
