After graduating from Beckmans Collage of Design in Stockholm, he worked with set design and some interior design projects before setting out on a one-year inspirational journey to Vancouver. He now resides in Stockholm, where he works as an industrial designer.

I've always had a thing for bridges. It is something with the way they connect the known with the unknown and spans across vast distances. When I was new in Vancouver I worked for a while in a deli downtown. I used to walk across Granville bridge every night with the city glittering into the water all around me. Just beautiful!

Go there on a sunny day and just dig in to a pile of freshly deep fried cod and crispy chips, while dangling your feet from the dock.

The place to go for a refreshing morning walk. Here you can really see and feel the magic that occurs when the mountains, the city and the ocean meet. Close by is also the Museum of Vancouver which, among other things, holds some colorful displays of the local 1960s hippie movement.

This theatre has a real genuine feeling that is hard to come across in Sweden nowadays. Shows a selection of the best and most current titles. With a huge bucket of popcorn, and the discount for all on Tuesdays, this place really helps to brighten up the dullest day of the week.

Straight underneath the bridge lies this charming little island that houses some of my favourite restaurants, such as the Sandbar and the yellow Bridges. Among all the things here you can also find a theatre, a brewery, a public food market and of course the Emily Carr university.

Living in stockholm. I started my career by assisting many of Swedens top photographers. In the beginning I was intrigued by fashion but over the years my course has changed towards a new more personal photography, holding a slower, more thoughtfull expression. I try to tell subtle stories that has a personal connection. Martin Hultén is a photographer and artist. He is mainly known for his tender and quirky depictions of people in his native Sweden - his past works include a series of portraits of men looking into the camera while simultaneously being caressed on the cheek, as well as several different projects looking at mans relation with nature, and videos exploring the border between still and motion.
