OT301 is a cultural centre in the former building of the Film Academy at the Overtoom. It’s a good place to get drunk, watch a movie or to eat. It's not too expensive, like most other places in Amsterdam, and the ambience is good. 


A theatre hidden in the man made forest on the outskirts of Amsterdam. An impressive setting with impressive shows. Watching an interesting piece under the stars is quite a memorable experience. Further more it's a nice bike ride leading you past rowing waters, fields to play picnic in or a pancake house if you feel like something warm and sweet.

Cinecenter is special to me because I used to work here. It is a great place to see all of your favourite movies.

One of the oldest cinema's of Europe. Stunning Art Deco extravaganza. Make sure you watch a film in the big Cinema 1. 

Probably the cosiest place in town! Warm 'Berlin style' wallpapered living room build around a half circle bar. They host poetry, bingo & acoustic evenings in the front room, and great film, concerts and dress up parties in the hidden mezzanine back room.
