I love to discover, explore and destroy photo books with my eyes and subsequently my portable telephone. A place where I love doing this is in the Stedelijk Museum. Yes, gift shops are typically stocked with pure Dutch gouda like any other gift shop but I find with enough dedication there is something to be found. I particularly enjoyed this one. Perhaps it is my Dutch affinity for milk.

One of the best dinners you'll have in Amsterdam! The wine and ambiance are amazing - get the small rotisserie chicken, what they are known for!

Jam made from fruit grown almost in my backyard. The neighbouring complex turned the internal community green space into a community garden. Now I buy their jam at the local gardening and food store.

Rijksmuseum in all glory but the rather overlooked library is a must.

Cosy place and simply the best coffee in town.
