No they do not serve schnitzel, it’s next to Veranda one of the best low key gems in Antwerp... Creative clever dishes, without too much hocus pocus. Natural wines.
This is my favorite place to go to – to escape the city quick – in nature. I love the Braem Pavillion a lot – built by Antwerp architect Renaat Braem in 1969.
This sight reminds me of the beginning of Antonioni's L'Avventura. In other words: again a confrontation with the majesty of nature. While standing here, I realize that water has no foundation to build on. I am overwhelmed: as human beings, we are forced to live our lives in uncertainty while facing the horizon of death.
One of the first places I felt at home when moving to Toronto. Imagine a living room transformed into a wonderful Vietnamese inspired (snack)bar. Great food and beverages that get you very, very drunk.
