Trained as Architect (MA) and Communication designer (MA), she designs communication strategies, visual identities, editorial projects, and exhibitions from a multidisciplinary perspective. She works with cultural institutions, artists, and companies. She also holds a Master in Urban Studies and her research is about visual codes in public spaces. She is super passionate about graffiti, typography, and lettering. She loves drawing, printing, and bookbinding. She is always happy to meet new people and walk around telling stories :)

It is an English language bookstore centering on non-western, diasporic, and queer perspectives. Many many many rare and special books carefully selected by Siddhartha Lokanandi that is the soul of this place! Check it, it is unforgettable :)

It is the connection between Leinestrasse u-Bahn and Tempelofer Feld. The park is wild and quiet, and super relaxing :) it is nice to sit on a bench and do some people-watching: it is a big inspiration for illustrators!

Floating University Berlin is a self organized space and group, where practitioners from a wide range of backgrounds meet to collaborate, co-create and imaginatively work towards futures. It defines itself as “A Natureculture learning site” investigating alternative narratives for urban development. I am totally in love with this place!!!

One of my favorite sophisticated-but-casual places in Berlin. Everything is delicious and the restaurant is cozy and minimal at the same time. It is the right place to have a wonderful dinner with somebody special without being too anxious about the dress code :)

Tanja Hildebrandt is a graphic designer, illustrator and print maker currently living in Berlin. She's currently working on her diploma project in communication design, besides she runs her small label TanTan Things, where she can bring her illustrations and patterns to life. She creates screenprinted textile and paper products such as postcards, notebooks and posters. Everything is produced in small batch series.
