AKJP Studio / Collective is a concept store that houses some of the best local designers. They stock clothing, ceramics, jewelry, bags, shoes, magazines.  

I have always been passionate about Natural History. The collections in this museum are extraordinary. Founded in 1825 this is the oldest museum in sub-Saharan Africa, includes the only preserved specimen of the extinct Quagga and ridiculously beautiful diorama’s of the Karoo. I don’t believe any natural history collection can be compared with another, this one is old and decaying and quite perfect...period.. If I’m ever short of inspiration this is where I’ll go.

Every full moon we walk to the top of Lions Head. It’s a part walk, part climb and we invariably return once the sun’s set and the full moon risen, so the journey down can be quite interesting. The view from the top is spectacular. I often sit here high above the city and watch the late night flights to Europe carving their way through the thick, liquid purple sky, happily accepting that they’ve left me here.

Great for breakfast, brunch or lunch! Cozy. Friendly. Definitely try the Cauliflower Soup on a rainy Cape Town winter's day.
