Trekroner fort is is a wonderful place, 15 minutes by boat from the city centre. The old fort is open to the public during the day, but only accessible from the water side. The current area was founded in 1786, but was not finished at the Battle of the Nest (April 2, 1801) or at the British bombardment in 1807. For wine purchasing a good place is Rosforth & Rosforth. Even better is the location, under the knippelsbro bridge, very hidden. Also nice for their professionally pleasant service and knowledge. And also for the interior.

As the summer is my favorite time of the year and that the beach is just 15 min bikeride away, I recommend Amager strand. Full of people usually though, but even so it gives a bit of an exotic touch to such a scandinavian city with the sea and the bright sand in the hot summer days.

La Banchina (The Pier) is my favourite cafe in Copenhagen, located beautiful on Refshaeløen, facing Copenhagen harbour, this place offer great coffee, homemade baked goods . For lunch and dinner La Banchina offers season’s best organic and/or biodynamic vegetables and seafood. (small dishes) No meat served. excellent natural wine.    Photo: © Ture Andersen
