One of my favourite things to do on my travels is finding a good bookshop. Ler Devagar (meaning ' read slowly' in English) did not disappoint. Built inside an old printing factory you can find this bookshop in the trendy LX factory in Alcântara. Books fill the walls from floor to ceiling and in the middle of the shop is a large flying bicycle. Need I say more.

In the very touristic Graça area, there is this heaven place, hidden from tourists. This café belongs to the theater da Garagem. It has an amazing view, the atmosphere is peaceful and with a lot of light. They don't have wifi if you plan to work there though..

It´s the kind of place you automatically feel like you take a break from the city for a coffee or a light meal. The trendy Chiado area is just around the corner.
