This is an amazing place for the summer when the water gets pretty warm or the winter if you are very brave. The only downside is that it can get very crowded in the Mixed pool but the men’s pool is normally quiet and it has a diving board.

There are very few better places to be on a summer's day than the massive beer garden at People’s Park Tavern on Victoria Park

Key community arts centre, near to Shoreditch High St station. The cinema is handy and the music programming is solid, but they also host a variety of other interesting nights, most notably Jawdance, London’s (arguably) best spoken word night

I'm waiting for a vegetarian-friendly event to get the full dining experience, but in the meantime there's wine!
