Fuglen is a cafe, cocktail bar and second hand design shop specialising in quirky and sometimes forgotten treasures, predominantly from the 50’s and 60’s. Fuglen first opened it´s doors in 1963, and having a cup of coffee here is like stepping back in time, Scandinavian style.

Norwegian photographer Anja Niemi, ( b. 1976 ) is represented by the Little Black Gallery in London but lives and works from Oslo. Her two latest series Starlets and Do Not Disturb set her distinct self portrait style. Joining tragedy with humor in a staged narrative setting, she presents a series of tragic-comic personas from tormented suburban housewives to roller disco divas.

Design and Architecture centre in Oslo. They have some quite cool professional exhibitions here as well as student graduate exhibitions. It’s a really nice building (which you would kind of expect) right next to the river that divides the east and west of Oslo.

Almost definitely the best kebabs in town. They have a newspaper article on the wall that claims that a guy that lives about 8 hours away travels into Oslo just to eat their kebabs☺. Smells a bit funny outside sometimes though…

When you’re in Oslo, you can’t miss the Opera. Here you are allowed to walk on the roof and look at the views and smell the ocean. At summer time you can even catch an outdoor concert on the top of the roof.
