Yorgaki is my brainchild. I felt there was a need for a place to share my culinary passions with others, and help people discover the uniqueness of Greek coffee traditions. And of course the adventure serves as a design experiment, with napkins designed like the paper tablecloth maps of the Cyclades, with a humorous take on Paris’ neighborhoods. Freshly opened in the 9th Arrondissement, Yorgaki is the first « Kafeneion », or Greek Café, in Paris. Serving Greek coffee cooked on hot sand, Frappés, Fredo Expressos and more traditional hot and cold Hellenic drinks, it also has a selection of fresh food prepared on spot. Tzatziki, Melitzanosalata, Tarama, Greek Choriatiki salad, marinated anchovies and kalamata olives can be shared around a Fix or a Mythos, the classic Greek beers. For dessert, Loukoums and Kourabies sourced in Greece, a locally-produced Portokalopita, and the legendary Caprice biscuit are here as reminders of the taste of Greece.

Yorgo Tloupas is a renowned french art director and logotype specialist who works with luxury, art, fashion, sports, media and automotive brands. Author of the latest commercial campaigns for Omega and Loro Piana among others, he designs visual identities for brands such as Ricard, Martell, Artcurial, Lacoste, and Hôtel de Crillon. As a magazine creative director, he headed GQ France, Intersection, BeauxArts, Liberation, and many others. He launched and currently art directs Vanity Fair France. He teaches logo design at Penninghen, IFM, SciencesPoParis and holds conferences and talks worldwide. Involved in Black Crows skis from the start, he helps the brand grow, both as a shareholder and as the design director.

Just down the street from the impossible to get into Frenchie, you can complete the Gregory Marchand hat trick at the latest outpost from the renowned Frenchie chef. The Anglo-inspired eatery features excellent Reubens, flavorful fish and chips, sweet treats like brownies and pecan pie, housemade ginger beer, pickles & maple smoked bacon, and a great beer list.
