These are the Icicles of Misotsuchi in Oku-chichibu. They are built up very slowly by water dripping down. The best time to see these icicles is during the coldest part of the year, from about the middle of January to the middle of February. They’re located in the in the Arakawa headwaters.

Of course, there is always more than one essence to things, and opinions differ depending on where you stand. However, there is only one truth. Perhaps, preparation and experience is required to accept this antinomy. I basically lived at this place when I lived in Tokyo. This was also the first place I ever performed. Good food, nice shows and a great mixture of locals and international people.

Another good found in the Nihonbashi area where I usually stay in Tokyo. The sourdough based toast simply stole my heart and inspired me how to enjoy sourdough as a healthier base of nutritious and simple breakfast. It was impressive how popular he bakery place is - long line started soon after the opening time in the morning. Apparently they are one of the local favorites who is well known to the foreign visitors too like me:-) Fortunately they manage it properly to maintain a quality experience. Located right beside a community playground, Parklet also has a lovely grocery inside where you can find their selection of artisanal food and drinks. Will come back next trip!

Omiya Pastry Shop is an open self-service shop, with an atmosphere of unique and elegant calm, reasonable prices, and a basic flavor. The space and the taste is satisfactory on every count. The interior gives me the feeling that I've gone back in time to Japan's Showa period.

Tokyo / Place

This mountain is known as one of the top one hundred famous mountains in Japan. And is one of the highest mountains in the Tokyo area. I went mountaineering at the end of last autumn, and felt cold at the summit. The views changed as winds pushed away thick clouds, and I felt that winter was just around the corner. Scenery is breathtaking. It is recommended as a mountain comparatively easy to climb.

Tokyo / Attraction

This cave at the foot of Mt. Fuji is located in the spread of volcanic rocks, surrounded by sea of trees where compass is no use. The temperatures drop suddenly, and you will not be able to stay inside the cave for long. However, the explorers will go further inside seeking for the bats flying around. It is highly recommended to visitors of the sacred Mt. Fuji .
