Favorite italian restaurant, great simple food, friendly staff and the coolest atmosphere (vinil music only). Smart to make a reservation before you go.

Rixdorf is definitely my favourite area of Berlin, because it is a historic village within in Berlin. At the moment it is under heavy construction, and I found this strange, nearly taken-down building sitting in the middle of the quaint neighbourhood.

You can grab a coffee or a juice right next door to the KINDL Center in the old brewing Hall at König Otto, complete with all the fascinating brewing equipment from its completion in 1930 it is a hall reminiscent of German Expressionism style… or as stated on their website. :)

The Tempelhof Airport is now closed and they have transformed the landing field into a public park area. As soon as you go there you notice that usually you don't get to see that much sky in the city so entering this area for the first time is quite overwhelming. I especially love the old softball fields that have been built during the American occupation.

Spindler is my favorite brunch stop when I'm in the mood for fresh eggs and classy but-yet-simple athmosphere.
