My favourite place to hang out in this city (and a hidden gem)! The simple café and restaurant in Copenhagen’s rustic Refshaleøen is all about 'hygge'. La Banchina boasts one of the city’s best spots for sunbathing and jumping in the water from early spring to late autumn. And during winter, the wood-fired sauna gets you all set after a cold dip in the harbour.

Jægersborggade is one of Copenhagen cosiest streets. Here you can find everything from designer clothing, art, nice coffee, food and homemade sweets.

Whenever I feel uninspired I visit the (now genericly named) Design Museum, formerly known as Kunstindustrimuseet. Sort of the V&A of Copenhagen. An old museum filled with gorgeus fabrics, weird artifacts and a cozy library filled with books about arts & crafts from around the world. If you're still uninspired after a visit here you're not able to. Don't forget to have lunch in the beautiful center garden surrounding by the overgrown buildings, statues and old trees.

This bridge leads from the center to Christianshavn and Amager. Christianshavn is a really sweet and old area, with a canal with lots of boats, nice restaurants and cafes. Right next to Christianshavn is the Freetown Christiania.

La Banchina (The Pier) is my favourite cafe in Copenhagen, located beautiful on Refshaeløen, facing Copenhagen harbour, this place offer great coffee, homemade baked goods . For lunch and dinner La Banchina offers season’s best organic and/or biodynamic vegetables and seafood. (small dishes) No meat served. excellent natural wine.    Photo: © Ture Andersen
