As the summer is my favorite time of the year and that the beach is just 15 min bikeride away, I recommend Amager strand. Full of people usually though, but even so it gives a bit of an exotic touch to such a scandinavian city with the sea and the bright sand in the hot summer days.

Explore Copenhagen from the waterside. Fore me it's the best way to experience the waterfront of Copenhagen.  places like Christianshavn, Gl. Strand , Sydhavnen  or Refshaleøen offer many beautiful things to see. you can rent boats and kayaks in many places Harbour. A pretty museum located 30 min north from Copenhagen. It has a stunning sea view and beautiful architecture. Here you can explore many exciting exhibitions. They have a great cafe as well. 

Small hotel with a nice lobby bar. I hang here for coffee or drinks with friends. A inner courtyard that reminds me a bit abut Hotel Amour in Paris.

My regular spot... Lovely place for coffee, breakfast, lunch and dinner...
