Alistair Hall is an award-winning graphic designer based in London. He set up his design studio, We Made This, in 2004, and specialises in thoughtful, simple, beautiful graphic design for print. He has made work with clients including Penguin Books, Historic Royal Palaces, Jeremy Tankard Typography, the National Trust and John Lewis.  Alistair is also a co-founder and art director of the children’s literacy charity Ministry of Stories, and its fantastical shop, Hoxton Street Monster Supplies. Alistair has been writing about design and visual culture at wemadethis.co.uk/blog for over ten years. He also teaches at Central Saint Martins and The Sir John Cass School of Art, Architecture and Design; and has given talks about his practice across the UK and overseas. Nigel Howlett lives and works in London. He has developed a graphite cartoony style of drawing which references early Disney movies and painters such as the American artist Peter Saul. Howlett depicts hairy characters, acting out scenarios that reflect familiar social anxieties and conditions. Always humorous and sometimes sinister, common themes in the work include our obsession with technology and our relationship with social media. Nigel also runs a set design practice working with clients which include the BBC, channel 4, Issey Miyake and Nike. In 2015 he co-founded Nan Studios, a Photographic and creative studio in Clapton East London.

Industrial designer who creates playful home decor. Founder of Dyslexic Design. Originally trained as a model-maker in the film and television industry. Jim then went on to teach at a special needs school in London before completing a Master’s degree (2006) in Industrial Design at Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design (part of London’s University of the Arts). In 2016, Jim curated an exhibition called Dyslexic Design, which was designed by Ab Rogers and hosted by designjunction. The show challenged perceptions of dyslexia by accentuating its positive effects and its close association with design.
