The Almeida, in Islington, is a small theatre with big influence. It’s an intimate place to discover groundbreaking theatre and get up close to some of Britain’s leading actors. The cafe/bar across has a constantly-changing tasty menu, relaxed atmosphere and free wifi. Open all day and great place to spend time even if you’re not going to catch a production.

Mira Calix is an award winning composer, producer and performer based in the United Kingdom. She is signed to Warp Records, on which she has released five albums. Although her earlier music is almost exclusively electronic and organic in nature, in recent years she has incorporated classical orchestration into her work for dance, film, theatre, opera and installations. Mira Calix is currently working on an album with singer/songwriter Malcolm Middleton and working Nothing Is Set In Stone, a musical sculpture for Hidden London , commissioned by The Mayor Of London, for the London 2012 festival

London / Art Centre

Key community arts centre, near to Shoreditch High St station. The cinema is handy and the music programming is solid, but they also host a variety of other interesting nights, most notably Jawdance, London’s (arguably) best spoken word night

London / Park

London has great green spaces. There are large royal parks and small public gardens, hidden allotments and roof terraces. Each one has its own identity and characteristics and everyone has their favourite. In summer they become extensions of people homes, you see girls sunbathing from 9 am and the endless picnics mean you can eat 3 meals a day in the park. My favourites - St James Piccadilly Gardens, Hyde Park, Barbican Conservatory.

London / Pub

The Bun House is one of my favourite places in Peckham. It’s a local pub and art project space. The sense of community and the warm heartedness of everyone, especially Mick (the owner!) are truly genuine. Various events, performances and exhibitions populate the project room, the pub’s drinking zone and the outdoor rooftop terrace at the back.

London / Restaurant

On Burlington Gardens in Mayfair, Cecconi’s is a modern-day classic Italian restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, seven days a week. Cecconi’s serves handmade pasta, seafood and dishes from Italy using the finest ingredients. The restaurant has outposts in West Hollywood, Miami, Istanbul, Berlin, Barcelona, New York, and Mumbai.
