Flowers lovers! Orto Botanico di Brera is an hidden treasure right in the center of Brera and near by Pinacoteca. The garden is a university and museum, there they organize events and activities for the public and schools. It has an amazing collection of flowers and medicinal plants, plus little corners where you can stop by and enjoy the silence for a bit.

Originating from the convergence of visionary founding partners Carhartt WIP and Slam Jam, Spazio Maiocchi is a cross-disciplinary ideas aggregator, house to the studios and exhibition spaces of KALEIDOSCOPE, one of Milan’s most widely recognized enterprises for contemporary art.

Vintage lovers! The Planetarium of Milan, Civico Planetario "Ulrico Hoepli", is a building located at the entrance of Giardini di Porta Venezia. It's a beautiful structure designed by Piero Portaluppi and commissioned by the Italian-Swiss publisher Ulrico Hoepli. Also the interior design is beautiful, there you can find a planetarium which projects and represents the image of the stars and their movements in the sky. The Planetarium also has a library which is a section of the Museum of Natural History, near by. They also organize educational activity concerning astronomy as talks, events and even concerts.

For paper lovers! One of my fav place in the city is this little cozy place, just 35 square meters all covered by magazines. Basically, you are in heaven. As they say: “Reading Room wants to be a meeting place for fans, collectors, professionals and all those who, intrigued, decide to come in to browse a magazine. A space in Milan dedicated to the dissemination, understanding and appreciation of magazines.” There you can find magazines about: photography, art, fashion, design, music; more than 200 international titles carefully selected. Reading Room stems from the desire to give voice and visibility to a phenomenon that in recent years, through visionary editorial projects, is redefining the publishing system and the sense of the printed paper at the time of the internet. He studied Marketing and Graphic Design in Milan and London and has always worked in the plumbing market since her first steps in her father's company. Based in Milan, Italy, Emiliano Ponzi’s bold textured illustrations employ repetition, a judicious use of line, strong graphic compositions and the use of conceptual metaphors to define and communicate the concept at hand. His illustrations appear in advertising, magazines, books, newspapers and animation, for clients that include The New York Times, Le Monde, The New Yorker, Louis Vuitton, Moma NY, Cartier, Der Spiegel, Penguin Books, Hyundai, Esquire, and Amnesty International. Italian clients include Armani, Bulgari, Gucci, Martini, La Repubblica, Feltrinelli, Lavazza, TIM, Pirelli, Ferrari and the Triennale Design Museum. Emiliano has received numerous honors including the Young Guns Award from the New York Art Directors Club and the coveted Gold Cube from The Art Directors Club of New York. He has won multiple medals of honor (gold and silver) from the Society of Illustrators New York, and award recognition from Society of Illustrators Los Angeles and the 3×3 Magazine Pro show. Awards of excellence have appeared in Print, How International Design Award, Communication Arts Illustration Annuals and American Illustration Annuals. “10×10”, his first monograph (Italian-English edition), was published by Corraini (Italy) in 2011 and sold out of both first and second editions. His first picture book “The Journey of the Penguin” was published in fall 2015 by Penguin Books for it’s 80th anniversary. His second one “ The great New York subway map” will be published by the MOMA of New York next February 2018. He is considered one of the finest illustrators of his generation.
