A community-engaged and accessible arts space dedicated to supporting artists in the production and presentation of public artworks. Socrates does not have a permanent collection and all artworks are temporarily on view.

This is another neighborhood favorite, especially for Sunday brunch which is consistently great.

I think it takes place every Saturday morning to afternoon, vintage shopping while having a great view at the Manhattan skyline from the East River State park. You will find lots of vintage shops and warehouses around this area of Williamsburg.

Its quite a trip out there but so very worth it if you wanna have the very special beach-experience! You can go there by car and then take the ferry either to Pines or Cherry Grove (I would prefer Pines!) or you do all by public transportation - there a "getaway tickes" for 36Dollars and the transfer works really smooth - may even be faster than by car!
