Tama River is located in the outskirts of west Tokyo. A large waterfall located upstream, and the cold water is surprisingly clear. There, you will find a wonderful landscape no identical to any of those you see today. At the same time, you will forget the fact that you are in Tokyo.
Shinjuku is one of the busiest places in Tokyo and you can see various contrasts of society there. Numberless stories are rolling under the huge buildings in somberness. Good to walk around through the night.
Staying with DDD, a renovated boutique hotel introduced me to the Nihonbashi area where there is full of beautiful contrast between historic and modern cultures. Really enjoy the convenience of the location. The room is electrically designed that is so warm and cozy. The in-house gallery and cafe are also worth checking!

There are aquarium, observation deck, amusement park, theater, hotel, tailor's shop, restaurant, mansions…etc. It is like a small city! Sunshine City in Ikebukuro. My mother was born there and I grew up there, too. Ikebukuro is a chaotic city. It's got everything from leading-edge department store to bar in the poor quarter of the town. I love this city that have many face.
