This nice little New Orleans inspired bistro serves all things creole and cajun. Cool drinks and hot food, accompanied by authentic live Louisiana Jazz, makes this the perfect spot for a dinner out. For something with a bite to it I can recommend the mussels Lafayette.

After graduating from Beckmans Collage of Design in Stockholm, he worked with set design and some interior design projects before setting out on a one-year inspirational journey to Vancouver. What every coastal town should have! From time to time I get these serious cravings for fast food, yet, I don’t really like when it gets to greasy. That is why I love Go Fish! Go there on a sunny day and just dig in to a pile of freshly deep fried cod and crispy chips, while dangling your feet from the dock.

I struggle with eating out in Vancouver, generally I prefer the burrito style places like Bandidas Taqueria on Commercial drive or Budgies Burritos on Kingsway, because they can keep it mellow and hassle free. Pronto is a new one, it has a great Italian coffee bar from the 60’s vibe.

Catalog Gallery consistently exhibits amazing art spanning genre and style. It’s one of my favourite galleries in the city, and always has a surprise in store. You can’t find the kind of work it presents anywhere else in Vancouver.

Occupying the historical building of a former B.C Electric Railway terminal, Centre A's gallery space is also located in one Vancouver's oldest and most diverse neighbourhoods-between Gastown and Chinatown. Focusing on their mandate to provide a platform for contemporary Asian Art, Centre A is a great space to explore and visit.

Straight underneath the bridge lies this charming little island that houses some of my favourite restaurants, such as the Sandbar and the yellow Bridges. Among all the things here you can also find a theatre, a brewery, a public food market and of course the Emily Carr university.
