Since I was a child I always loved to go to the aquarium in Artis. This mysterious world that we will never really get to know makes me wonder and raises questions. I like this mysterious world. It’s a place to relax and think things over.

This place has the best handpicked natural wines and great, great food. Lovely, friendly and helpful staff. You can easily sit here for hours, have a bite once in a while and try great wines. An absolute must to visit.

Unfortunately it’s not in Amsterdam but De Pont, museum of contemporary art is worth the 1,5 hour trip with the train. The building itself is beautiful, it’s a former wool mill but also there collection is worth seeing!

Cafe Modern Amsterdam is located in an old bank building in the north of Amsterdam. Authentic elements remind of the previous life of the building. You eat a delicious daily changing 4-course menu. Every day the freshest ingredients of the season. 

De Plantage is a bright, elegant brasserie beside Artis where great design.
