City-beach with very different atmospheres, depending on the season. In the summer its crowded and full of people sun-bathing, partying, rollerblading, swimming etc. But in the winter it can be a wonderful quiet place.
Where the lights come from is the national museum of art in Catalunya. Its an impressive building with great exhibitions and a huge collection of hostoric art. In that area you will also find Mies Van Der Roes house and Caixa forum (Av. Francesc Ferrer i Guàrdia, 6-8).
After being in the market I love going to the beach for a swim in winter there is a magnificient hot/outdoors swimingpool next to the beach were you can swim even if it's rainy!!!
